The Horsleys Sharps Disposal Container is the safest, most flexible sharps disposal system available. The Horsleys Sharps Disposal box is a rigid, tough, distinctively bright yellow plastic box with a secure lid that allows you to dispose of used needles and syringes safely.

Sharps disposal bins are essential equipment in any publicly accessible space, from educational institutions to public transport to leisure facilities to restaurants, clubs and pubs. In short, anywhere that a diabetic employee or a member of the public might stop to inject insulin.

Sharps should never be disposed of in a household or commercial general waste bin - not only because needles can cause injuries, but because they can carry blood-borne viruses that can spread infection, such as hepatitis and HIV. A specially designed sharps disposal bin keeps you from harm when handling syringes and can be routinely removed and incinerated safely so that no employee or other member of the public is ever put at risk, protecting them and safeguarding your business.

Essential equipment in any publicly accessible space, from educational institutions to public transport to leisure facilities to restaurants, clubs and pubsThe Horsleys Sharps Disposal Container is designed with the protection of the user in mind. The internal safety flap ensures that fingers can never come into contact with the contents of the sharps box and a thick black line on the label on the front of the sharps box clearly indicates the maximum fill line.

To dispose of sharps in small containers (eg. 0.2 litre), use the flip-top lid to expose the non-return petal aperture, then drop the used syringe inside and close the lid. When you're ready for final closure, simply press down firmly on the lid for a permanent seal. With larger containers (eg. 1.8 litres), open the large oval aperture on the top and drop the sharps inside, through the internal flap. Then simply close the aperture which clicks into place to show that it has safely engaged. When the sharps disposal box is full or otherwise ready to be removed from the premises for incineration, just press down firmly on the oval aperture to ensure final closure, then fill in the details on the label for a permanent audit trail which cannot be removed.
